Is Adam Zerner right?

The Miami Heat will win the 2007-2008 NBA Championship.

I believe that a championship team needs to have these things in their team...a superstar, supporting role players who know and do their job, chemistry and a good coach.

The heat have their superstar in Dwyane Wade without a doubt. He can score at will while taking good shots but knows how and when to set up his teammates to score too. However, the most underrated part about him is them mental part of his game. He understands his strength and does it extremely well, he is motivated, determined and knows how to accomplish his goals(which is what makes him so successful, he can do whatever he wants as long as he puts his mind to it), and he is confident and plays extremely well under pressure.

They also have the luxury of Shaquille O'Neal who still is an automatic finisher in the paint, requires double and triple teams which set up his teammates and is a very smart basketball player(which is an underrated part of his game). Then they have an outstanding mix of role players. They have seasoned veterans in Alonzo Mourning, Ricky Davis, Penny Hardaway, and Jason Williams who all know and more than fulfill their roles.

They have a good group of young players in which i think at least one or two will have breakout years this year in Udonis Haslem, Dorell Wright, Smush Parker, Daquon Cook and Jeremy Richardson.

Then they have an outstanding head coach in Pat Riley. Think about the teams who recently won championships and the head coaches, Spurs - Greg Popavich, Heat - Pat Riley, Detroit Pistons - Larry Brown, Lakers - Phil Jackson, they all had not only good but hall of fame head coaches. This to me is very underrated.

The last and probably most important and underrated thing that will enable them to win the championship is the right mental attributes. Success in basketball all starts with willingness and desire to work to improve your game, mental toughness to stay focused, knowledge of the important details of the game and having a good attitude are all significant and extremely underrated in the game of basketball and if you really think about it, that is what makes successful basketball players as well as people.

So that's why the MIAMI HEAT are my choice as the 2007-2008 NBA Champions.
